Internet “Detox” Week 5
Whoops! I got wrapped up in writing and forgot to post this on Sunday. But I’m here! Here are my stats for Week 5:
Books read: 2
River of Fire: The Clydebank Blitz by John MacLeod (research for Garden Book)
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Words written: 24,346
The most words I’ve ever written in a week by far. It’s not a number I’m sure I can keep up with, but I’m pretty proud I reached it. I expect some slowing down in March purely because I’m not an author who can keep averaging around 3k a day and at some point (probably this coming week) I’m going to need to take a few days off for some self-care and mental rest. Words are great, but I don’t want to burn out, either.
I mentioned previously that I’ve been using the Forest App for my writing timer. Look, I realise growing digital trees is a bit of a silly motivational thing but it works, so I’ll take it. My favourite forest in Week 5 (showing 465 mins of work):
Until next week!
